Job Duties

Design, prototype, test, and troubleshoot electrical circuits that include motors, sensors, batteries, microcontrollers, RF, analog, & digital componentsDesign Test FixturesSchematic and layout design using Altium Design SoftwareSupport integration activities with other teams (Firmware, Software, Systems, Mechanical, Operations & Quality)Circuit analysis and simulationUse Python or MATLAB to analyze dataManage design tradeoffs on performance, risk, manufacturability, and costManage vendor relationshipsLead technical reviewsLead activities related to IEC 60601 testingWrite and perform engineering studiesWrite architecture documentsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.5+ years of design and development experience in electrical engineeringExperience with Design for PCB manufacturability, assembly, and testabilityProficiency in using Lab Tools such as Oscilloscopes and Data LoggersExperience with UART, USB, I2C, and SPIPreferred Qualifications:Strong written and oral communication skillsStrong interpersonal skillsProven track record of effective teamwork within a cross functional teamDetail oriented and highly organizedExperience with motors, sensors, batteries, microcontrollers, RF, analog, & digital componentsExperience with PCB and Schematic Design Software (Altium Designer Preferred)Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)Experience with high volume PCB design/manufacturingExperience with Microchip and Silicon Labs MicrocontrollersExperience with medical electrical safety standards (IEC 60601)Experience with FMEA and Hazard AnalysisExperience with Fail-safe designsExperience with disposablesExperience with wearable/portable devicesExperience in a fast-paced work environmentembecta is an Equal Opportunity/AffirmativeAction Employer.
