About The Role

Responsible for mechanical service calls and in house repairs throughout facility and grounds. Responsible for day to day facilities operations to include, but not limited to, general building repair & maintenance, installation, repair, and maintenance of furniture/fixtures/equipment in both lab and office areas and special projects as assigned to support both the facilities and EHS teams.

Your Contributions (include, But Are Not Limited To)

Respond to facilities help desk requests in a timely manner while providing a high level of customer service, communication, and supportSupport special projects assigned to support relocations/reconfigurations, storage/inventory, set up of new services, laboratory requirements, commissioning and decommissioning of space, etc.Assist with internal employee and lab relocationsPerform work in one or more maintenance trades, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, lighting, etc.Assist with the logistics and set ups for corporate events and conference roomsPerform routine repair, maintenance, and installation of furniture, fixtures, and equipment in both lab and office areasSupport and provide backup duties/tasks facilitiesMonitor, order, and deliver gases for laboratory usePerform daily, weekly building walks to monitor the general operation, safety, and condition of the facility. Proactively communicate, plan, and implement solutions in conjunction with the operations team to resolve findingsOther duties as assigned

Requirements

High School Diploma / Associates Degree and 2+ years of related experience, biotech / pharmaceutical industry experience preferredHold and maintain a valid driver’s licenseProficient in basic HVAC, electrical and plumbing, painting/drywall, lighting and ballast replacementProficient in furniture repair and installationKnowledge of laboratory gas systems and equipment (including incubators and freezers)Must be able to read and work off blueprints, schematics and from technical manuals pertaining to facilities and equipment installed and servicedKnowledgeable in general, fire prevention, electrical, hazmat, and laboratory safetyKnowledge of maintenance and environmental standardsKnowledge of laboratory equipment trouble shooting and/or repair (desired but not required)Ability to work with outside vendors to obtain supplies, equipment, contracts, and servicesUses established skills to perform a range of daily operationsApplies understanding of company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasksUnderstands how own area contributes to the achievement of objectivesMust have basic computer skills to include Microsoft OfficeHighly motivated proactive individual that can work unsupervised with a high level of detailCompletes work assigned in a reliable, consistent manner while working successfully as an individually and within a team environment

The hourly rate we reasonably expect to pay is $22.51-$32.65. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 15% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
