Job Summary Delivers Nursing Care by developing a nursing diagnosis; establishing nursing care objectives; defining nursing interventions; providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families/support person to understand patient conditions, medications, and self-care skills; noting changing conditions and needs; re-evaluating care objectives. Position Information:• Facility Department/Cost Center:Cardiothoracic Unit • Role (RN, Tech, LPN, PT, etc.): RN• Specialty: CVICU• Number of Openings: 2• Shift: Night • Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36• Weekend Hours: As needed• Call Requirements: None• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS• Years of Experience: 1+• Float Requirements: will float to ICU as needed Unit Information:• Number of Beds:• Patient Ratios: typical 1:2; will vary during shift based on needs• Equipment: CRT machine, Balloon pump, External Vent Device• EMR: Cerner / EPIC Hiring Profile:• Must Have Skills/Experience: Must be VERY competent, Stepdown experience (1yr+), must start and manage Ext Vent Device, run CRT machine• Preferred Skillset/Experience:• Type of Patients on Unit: Cardiac directly from OR, CABG• Personality Fit: Competent, team player with good work ethic
