Posting DetailsThe New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions Employment Services Division partners with Workforce Development boards and Workforce service providers to deliver Career Services in New Mexico Workforce Connection Centers Statewide.

Why does the job exist?This position provides leadership, strategic planning, employer outreach, staff performance appraisals, sets performance goals, and consults with County/City/Chief Elected Officials on employment/employer needs
How does it get done?Ensure supervision/leadership and development of the Workforce Connection Center (WCC) staff. Employee evaluations to include staff interim and closeout reviews, staffing patterns, disciplinary action and training and development. Select potential candidates, staff development, up to date training, ensure the WCC goals are in line with NMDWS mission and vision and adherence to NMDWS policies and procedures.

Ideal Candidate-Managing staff for a minimum of 5 years.-Analyzing processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.-Management with an emphasis on employee development.-Customer service experience in a fast paced work environment.-Extensive experience developing, performance Indicators, and producing reports to reflect findings.
- Minimum QualificationA Bachelor's Degree in any field of study from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of professional level experience operating within parameters and guidelines directly related to the purpose of the position defined by the agency at the time of recruitment. Any required licensure, certification or registration shall be defined at the time of recruitment and will be in addition to the above requirements.
