📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Job Title: Product Manager - TechnicalLocation: St Louis, MO (Hybrid)Position Type: Contract
Job Description:PMT, is a Product manager who has technical background and works on a technical product. It does not intend a PMT to do any technical jobs, such as coding or software architecture. However, the PMT will attend or facilitate or conduct meetings with very team that is involved in the product development and delivery. The desired core competency of a PMT is:Define vision and customer needsProduct portfolio managementProduct planning and developmentLaunchOperate
A PMT will primarily focus on four tracks:Understand the customer:Understand the problems we are solving for the end users and are the proxy to the engineering team.Determine how the solution will solve the problem.The immediate customer may be a developer, program owner or a platform team.Understand the business: Understand the key metrics, outcomes and economies of what is developed. Work with technology team to deliver working solutions:Own the translation of requirements into a prioritized “engineering ready” backlog.Work with engineering teams in order to build the “right” technology solution.Monitor metrics and economies of solutions to ensure needle is moving.BUILD the GUILD:Review the present guidelines and process.Provide Feedback on the present procedures.Identify improvements and Recommend changes for the betterment of the GUILD.
