Essential Functions

Newpark is looking for a Finance / Accounting intern for Summer of 2024. Under direct supervision, the intern will assist in day-to-day finance and accounting activities, which will include analysis and special projects to be defined.

Position Functions

Assist Corporate Accounting team with month-end close process/tasks, including preparation of account analysis Assist Divisional Controller team with analysis or special projects Assist Internal Audit team with analysis or special projects Participate in SOX process walkthroughs and implementation of AuditBoard (SOX Platform) system functionality Participate in the development of ESG Reporting Roadmap (in conjunction with HSE team) that aligns with the new SEC Rule Participate in the ERP project, including data readiness initiatives

Requirements: Currently enrolled in an accredited university, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes: The internship candidate should have a basic understanding of business practices and professionalism, along with good attention to detail, verbal and written communication skills, and PC skills.

Education & Experience Requirements

Bachelor's degree or currently enrolled in Bachelor's or Postgraduate program

Position Summary

Newpark’s Internship program offers students an opportunity to learn and work with Subject Matter Experts in their field of study and be part of a dynamic team working towards Company strategic goals. Interns will be paired with a mentor and will be assigned specific project(s) that are critical to Newpark’s success.
