📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
As a safety manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring safety. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining comprehensive safety programs, procedures, and policies to mitigate risks and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
QualificationsAssociate degree3-5 years of experience in safety management or a related field within a manufacturing industryExperience in factory or warehouse operation managementKnowledge of applicable safety regulations, codes, and standards.Proficiency in using safety management systems and tools.Strong analytical and organizational skillsExcellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Job DescriptionDevelop, implement, and manage safety programs, policies, and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and industry best practices.Conduct training and presentations for safety matters and accident prevention.Analyze incident reports, metrics and injury case studies in order to institute changes that lead to a safer environment.Stay updated on relevant safety regulations and standards to ensure the plant remains in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker’s compensation claims.Provide leadership, training, and analysis to leadership, managers, and employees in the identification of potential hazards and accident prevention.Promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability among all employees through regular communication, training initiatives, and recognition programs.
