Nicolaides Fink Thorpe Michaelides Sullivan LLP is seeking an ambitious, innovative Talent Acquisition Manager. The Talent Acquisition Manager will work with the Managing Partner, Firm Hiring Committee, and Office Administrators to develop and implement the firm’s talent acquisition initiatives, across all offices (Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Los Angeles, San Diego, and San Francisco). This position is located in our Chicago office.
The ideal candidate is a professional with experience in the legal market, and a self-starter who can develop and implement all talent acquisition for this fast-growing firm. Possessing a “roll-up your sleeves” approach to getting the job done, the candidate must have strong analytical and exceptional oral and written communications skills and experience managing and executing in a busy, collaborative environment. The candidate we seek is enthusiastic and flexible, willing to take on additional responsibilities as necessary, and able to execute the firm’s talent acquisition efforts creatively and professionally.

Main Areas of Responsibilities:Attorney Recruitment and RetentionStaff RecruitmentOn-Campus Interview Programs
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:Develop and execute key strategic/tactical objectives and plans to achieve annual lateral and attorney recruitment, hiring, and retention goalsDevelop and refine workflows and processes related to lateral and attorney recruitment, hiring, and onboardingExecute staff recruitment in conjunction with Office AdministratorsSuccessfully source, screen, interview, evaluate, and hire qualified candidatesAccurately report and track candidate dataCoordinate annual on-campus interview (OCI) programs and support student/employer outreach opportunities at law schoolsIdentify and lead the participation of career fairs and open housesLeverage LinkedIn, among other platforms, to publicize the firm’s job advertisements and job opportunitiesEnsure that the firm remains a top competitor for candidates by leveraging employer brandingMonitor recruiting budget and track group activities
Specific Requirements:Bachelor’s degree, requiredAt least 2 years of professional services recruiting experience, preferably in a law firm environmentKnowledge and understanding of Applicant Tracking systems, including LinkedIn Recruiter, and other recruiting platforms utilized by law schools and alumniKnowledge of NALP’s principles and standardsSuperior oral and written communications skills and strong proofreading skillsDemonstrated project management experienceDetail-oriented and able to meet deadlines, prioritize and work in a fast-paced environmentSelf-starter with strong initiative and creativityAbility to work effectively within a team and with all firm personnelAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and OutlookDemonstrated customer service focus and team-first orientation
