Overview
This role is based at our Phoenix, AZ HQ, and would require relocation to the Phoenix area.
Our Service Development team is excited to work with a Technical Illustrator that is focused on precision, accuracy, and quality, backed with a passion for our products and industry. You can quickly adapt, course-correct, and put yourself in our customers’ shoes. Quality and integrity matter to you.
Responsibilities
Working alongside our Technical Writers, collaboration with engineering and service teams to create procedures, illustrations, and other visual aids to assist in service functionsEngage with engineering, software development, warranty, program, and product teams to gain insight and apply feedback to graphics in manuals and customer-facing documentsOwning the success and accuracy of the product
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or related technical field or equivalent practical experienceAbility to present complex technical information and data in clear, concise images that conform to Nikola’s style guideExcellent writing and grammatical skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailSoftware Proficiencies:Adobe Suite- Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, AcrobatMicrosoft Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)Experience with CAD softwareOther relevant illustration software
Additional Profile Characteristic Preferred
Experience in a truck or automotive OEM environmentExperience diagnosing or assembling mechanical/electrical componentsExperience with product improvement projectsXML Editing Software (Arbortext)
Candidates must have current U.S. work authorization or be TN eligible from Mexico or Canada. This position is not eligible for CPT or OPT.
