Senior Highway Engineer – Team Lead

My client, a well established, multi-disciplinary engineering firm are looking for a team lead for their Austin office. As the Lead Highway Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and supervising a highway design team within the Texas market. This position is essential for expanding our presence in Texas, involving tasks such as recruitment, mentorship, and steering the direction of our growth efforts in the state.

Responsibilities

Spearhead the formation and operation of a highway design unit in the Texas market.Drive business planning, strategies, and goal setting to facilitate growth and expansion in Texas.Foster positive client relationships and promote transparent communication within the team and with partners.Supervise the expansion and trajectory of the roadway design practice with integrity and solid business principles.

Requirements

A minimum of 15 years of experience in transportation project design.A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; a Master’s degree is preferred.Texas P.E. with a robust understanding of TXDOT policies.Demonstrated success in building engineering teams, nurturing relationships, and efficiently managing resources.
