Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of MEP to lead their MEP division and drive excellence in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering services. The ideal candidate will provide strategic leadership, technical expertise, and business acumen to ensure the success and growth of our MEP business unit. As the Vice President of MEP, your responsibilities will include:

Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute strategic plans, goals, and initiatives to drive growth and profitability within the MEP division. Provide vision and direction to align MEP services with the company’s overall objectives and market trends. Business Development: Lead business development efforts to identify and pursue new opportunities for MEP projects. Cultivate relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to expand our client base and enhance our market presence. Project Management: Oversee the successful execution of MEP projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, quality standards, and client expectations. Provide guidance and support to project teams to resolve technical challenges and mitigate risks. Technical Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert in MEP engineering, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and oversight to engineering teams. Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements to drive innovation and excellence in MEP design. Team Leadership: Build and develop a high-performing team of MEP professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to empower team members and enhance their skills and capabilities. Client Management: Cultivate strong relationships with clients by understanding their needs, anticipating their challenges, and delivering value-added solutions. Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to clients, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty. Financial Management: Manage the financial performance of the MEP division, including budgeting, forecasting, resource allocation, and cost control. Monitor key performance indicators and metrics to evaluate divisional performance and drive profitability.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.Professional Engineer (PE) license required.Minimum of 15 years of experience in MEP engineering, with a proven track record of leadership and success in managing MEP projects and teams.Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to develop and execute business plans, drive growth, and achieve financial targets.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.Deep technical expertise in MEP systems design, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and sustainable design principles.Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in team building, coaching, and talent development.
