CNC Programmer

We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join our Plate Processing team in east Houston. This position will program our CNC Plasma Tables, CNC Plasma/Milling Combos, CNC Robotic Plasma, CNC Oxygen-Fuel Tables, CNC Waterjets, and CNC Lasers machine tools in our high-mix, low-volume production environment. We will offer training on our specific materials/equipment and provide additional training as appropriate to grow the capabilities of our team.

Responsibilities:Creates and optimizes CNC programs for the plate processing machine toolsModifies CAD files as neededAssists with the setup of CNC machines when neededTroubleshoots issues CNC machines may have during setup and operationCreates set-up sheetsMaintains awareness of new ideas in processes, tools, methods, etc. and applies them effectively to CNC manufacturingDevelops and maintains open communication with all personnel, including accepting suggestions and instructionsOther duties as needed

Qualifications:3+ years of experience in programming and operating CNC Plate Processing Equipment Proficiency using CAM & nesting software for CNC programming such as PEP Technology, OmniWin (Messer), Primecut (Kinetic), and ProNestExperience with the following CNC Machines is a plusMesser PlasmaTrumpf LaserKinetic Plasma / Oxy / Machining Combo Peddinghaus Plasma / Machining ComboVoortman Robotic PlasmaExperience modifying models and drawings in SolidWorks is preferredStrong multitasking skills and attention to detailGood judgment and decision-making skillsProfessional communication and interpersonal skills
