Northern Jet is seeking a highly self-motivated, collaborative, and detail-oriented Human Resources Manager to join our team. This role formulates partnerships across the organization to deliver value-added service to management and Team Members that reflects business objectives. In this position, a successful candidate will be able to demonstrate and communicate a full understanding of regulations related to the HR field, such as FMLA, FLSA, NLRB, ACA, and Title VII of the CRA, to name a few.

This is an In-Office position located at our facilities in Grand Rapids, MI.

Supervisory Responsibilities:· This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, at this time, but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the organization.Responsibilities:· Manage HR administrative tasks, including maintaining employee records, updating HR databases, and organizing online personnel files.· Contribute to employee engagement initiatives, such as organizing company events, coordinating Team Member recognition programs, and gathering feedback.· Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in accordance with company guidelines and regulations.· Provide support and guidance to management when complex, specialized, and sensitive employee relations issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations or objectively investigating allegations of wrongdoing. · Analyze trends in people management and deliver monthly metrics and dashboards for the Executive team. Examples include turnover, tenure, time to fill, etc. · Oversee Team Member disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.· Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of Team Members, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with the legal department as needed/required.· Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management, such as coaching, counseling, career development, or disciplinary actions.· Work closely with management and Team Members to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.· Partner with the Training Team to evaluate and monitor training needs and programs to ensure success. · Support and deliver employee onboarding activities, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires into the organization.Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities: · Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.· Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.· Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy.· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.· Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.· Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.· Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.· Proficiency with, or the ability to quickly learn, the organization’s HRIS (ADP).· Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience:· Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.· SHRM-CP or PHR required.· Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in Human Resources required. · Three years of Management experience preferred.· Working knowledge of multiple Human Resource disciplines, including employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.· Interest and experience in aviation a plus. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting, predominately in an office environment. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Travel up to 25%
