Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector has an opening for a Staff Structural Analysis Engineer to join our qualified, diverse Vehicle Engineering team in Melbourne, Florida. In this role, you will develop and implement an Individual Aircraft Tracking (IAT) program. The successful candidate should have significant prior experience developing and maintaining tools and databases associated with Aircraft Structural Integrity Program (ASIP) sustainment activities.

Responsibilities Include

Developing and implementing an IAT program on a fleet of advanced aircraft that includes both metals and compositesCoordinating activities with the customer and internal technical disciplines to satisfy program requirements in accordance with MIL-STD-1530DOverseeing the development and implementation of an Individual Aircraft Tracking (IAT) program, a force management database, and Force Structural Maintenance Plans (FSMP)

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor of Science (BS) in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 14 years of relevant experience; OR Master of Science (MS) in a STEM discipline and 12 years of relevant experience; OR Ph.D. in a STEM discipline and 9 years of relevant experienceExperience developing an IAT programBackground in aircraft structural analysis or structural integrityAbility to obtain DoD Secret and Special Access Program (SAP) clearances prior to start

Preferred Qualifications

Current, in-scope DoD Secret (or higher) clearance highly preferred Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Structural EngineeringExperience developing and maintaining tools and databases associated with Aircraft Structural Integrity Program (ASIP) sustainment activitiesExperience with coding or software developmentExperience managing information databasesExperience in certification and sustainmentA background in metallic DaDT analysisExperience leading a project or a team

Salary Range: $142,500 - $213,700

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
