Senior Associate

We are seeking an Associate to join our growing investment team with a focus on debt investments across all asset classes. As Northwind is experiencing a significant growth phase, the position will work in tandem with other junior and senior team members on the full investment cycle, from origination, execution, and asset management. In addition to working on debt investments, the individual will have the opportunity to assist in fund/portfolio management and direct equity investments through Northwind’s balance sheet. Responsibilities:· Develop sophisticated underwriting and analysis for potential debt and equity investments.· Conduct due diligence for prospective transactions, including preparation of market reports, legal documentation review, and analyzing the performance of real estate assets.· Prepare and present investment committee memoranda to senior partners.· Assist with asset management tasks including business plan development, quarterly reporting, fundraising, portfolio management, and loan servicing.· Develop relationships with prospective borrowers, lenders, and brokers. Qualifications:· Bachelor’s degree and 1-4 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, or brokerage.· Superior analytical, qualitative, and technical skills.· Real estate modeling background and ARGUS experience preferred.· Effective written and verbal communication skills.· Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.· Strong judgement and decision-making skills.· Academic background in finance or business administration from a top university.· Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Google Suite products.
