A mechanical engineer with extensive electrical capabilities will also be considered. This individual will act as the lead of electrical engineering efforts and report directly to principal engineers. This is an entry-level position and is suitable for a new grad as on-the-job training and guidance from our ownership will be readily available. A successful Electrical Engineer candidate will demonstrate strong technical abilities and organizational skills. Being passionate about engineering developments and able to efficiently troubleshoot systems are additional important considerations.

Electrical Engineer Responsibilities:Developing, reviewing, updating, modifying, and approving electrical design plans and work schedules for PCB, software and system development.Collaborate/lead electrical design projects for:New internal product developmentsR&D activitiesClient based electrical engineering projectsLiaising with other (mechanical and industrial) engineers to ensure projects are completed to specificationsEstablishing relationships with clients, vendors, suppliers, other professionals, and expanding networksSupport manufacturing activities:Maintaining inventory organization and procurement of electrical componentsMaintaining and improving existing engineering and quality control processes and proceduresCreate new quality control procedures and test methods from scratch as neededMaintaining and improving electrical documentation including cable harness drawings, PCB schematics, system level schematics, BOM’s and work instructionsAnalyzing existing processes and scheduling meetings to discuss improvement initiativesConducting research, performing diagnostics, and troubleshooting equipment for production and for client based projectsAssisting with recruitment, training, and onboarding

Electrical Engineer Requirements:B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fieldExtensive practical and hands-on experience. (SMD soldering, crimping, shop tools, etc.)Experience with PCB designExperience in designing integrated electrical and mechanical systemsPractical experience with CAD software (Autodesk Eagle, OrCAD, Solidworks)Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilitiesExperience with testing and quality controlWorks well in a fast-paced team-oriented cultureExcellent motivational skills and multitasking abilitiesTakes responsibility for tasks and delivers results on timeWilling to travel to other locations, suppliers, development partners, test facilities etc. as neededGood communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)
