Production Supervisor, 3rd Shift

We are seeking a 3rd Shift Production Supervisor at our Bardstown, KY facility. If you are looking for a job that is both challenging and rewarding, this could be a great fit for you! Our piston rings are hand crafted and go through a unique manufacturing experience. You will be responsible for overseeing the operations and ensuring a successful shift. We are looking for a Supervisor that has strong leadership skills and wants to learn.

The core shift hours for this position will be 11:00 PM- 7:10 AM, Sunday thru Thursday. This critical position will report to the Assistant Production Manager.

Key areas of responsibility:Manage, coach and support team members in production/warehouse areas to ensure optimum production requirements are metCoach, counsel and develop team membersMaintain time and attendance matters, lead performance managementReview department schedules to ensure adequate staffing is in place,Ensures SWI and P&P are followed with a focus on safety & quality practicesConduct team meetings and update various production reporting metricsMaintains effective working relationships and communications with all departmentsOperates within budget and contributes to the overall reduction of overhead and expensesComplies with EEO and AAP goals and employee developmentLead Plant Production initiatives and strategyPromotes Employee EngagementOther responsibilities as assigned Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a related manufacturing supervisory position Experience with Lean manufacturing in a Tier I environment including TPS and or TPM is preferred but not requiredExcellent time management and prioritization skill setsAbove average computer skills along with premium verbal, written and interpersonal communicationsMust be able to multi task and stand/walk for long periodsKnowledge of ISO certification process is a plusMust be able to operate forklift and material handling equipment with safety and efficiencyAbility to lead people with respect and achieve results through positive relationshipsAbility to think independently to trouble-shoot and creatively resolve problemsMust be legally eligible to work in the U.S.
