Basic Job Functions
Create an efficient cleaning routine to upkeep and maintain cleanliness of plant, restrooms, break room, office areaRecommend facility improvements that help cleanliness, functionality, and overall better quality for teammates’ health and safetyFinishing minor repairsHelping with facilities maintenance such as hanging things on walls, replacing light bulbs, etc.Collecting garbage and disposing of it properlyHelping other departments with projects
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications
Proven commitment to safetyAbility to understand and carry out written and oral instructionsAbility to work standing or walking for up to 10 hours per dayAbility to adapt to frequent changes of priority and complete job tasks safely and effectively without constant supervisionAbility to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
Preferred Qualifications
Previous maintenance utility experience, preferred.
