Job descriptionController - Retail SalesWe are currently searching for an energetic, fast learner and skillful controller for our fast growing chain of middle eastern market-style stores. Duties and Responsibilities:Financial Analysis and Reporting: Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making. Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and present findings to management.Financial Policies and Controls: Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard assets and mitigate financial risks.Finance Audits: Coordinate and oversee finance audits to ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.Statutory Finance Compliances: Ensure compliance with statutory requirements related to financial reporting, including the preparation and submission of financial statements, and other regulatory filings.Taxations: Manage tax planning and compliance activities, including the preparation and submission of tax returns. Identify opportunities for tax optimization and risk mitigation strategies.Safeguard assets and assure accurate and timely recording of all transactions by implementing disciplines of internal audits, controls and checks across all departments.Direct and coordinate company financial planning and budgeting activities.Administer debt financing and debt service payments.Interface with outside audit firms, banks, casualty/liability insurance company, credit card companies and collection agencies, as needed.Other duties as assigned.

Job requirements:Minimum of 3 years experience in retail sales field (required)Strong understanding of banking processes and financial data analysisCPA license is preferred but not requiredProficient in Microsoft Excel is a mustStrong technology skills and background using multiple systems SQL database architecture a plus.Knowledge of federal, state and local financial regulations and reporting requirementsExcellent collaboration, written and oral communication skillsIn addition to financial skills, the Controller must maintain a positive and professional approach to serving information and support needs of Company management.Valid driver’s license is a plus!

QualificationsStrong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulationsExperience in budgeting, reporting, and financial analysisProficiency in financial software and systemsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsAttention to detail and accuracyAbility to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with cross-functional teamsRelevant certification (e.g., CPA) is a plusPrior experience in the food industry or manufacturing sector is beneficial
