Elmhurst Hospital Center (EHC) is the major tertiary care provider in the borough of Queens. The hospital is comprised of 545 beds and is a Level I Trauma Center, an Emergency Heart Care Station and a 911 Receiving Hospital. Job Description
Under general supervision, performs ultrasound examinations at an advanced level, including special procedures to assist medical staff in the diagnosis and assessment of patients. In addition to performing duties of Assignment Level I, also performs the following:
Duties & Responsibilities
Maintains regular contact with physicians and other health care personnel by providing information regarding the nature, scheduling, or results of procedures performed within the Ultrasound Department. Assists in the conduct of specialized tests and studies. Assists in training programs in ultrasonography and instructs other appropriate technical personnel on technical aspects of their routine use.
Minimum Qualifications
Completion of a Sonography or Ultrasound training program from an accredited school.
