Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Audiology Fellow.

In this role, the successful candidate The entry level degree for the profession of Audiology is transitioning from a master's to a doctorate (doctor of Audiology[AuD]) degree. The academic and professional training for the Audiology doctorate must fully prepare the student for independent professional practice upon graduation. Audiology doctoral programs combine classroom and clinical training to culminate in a clinical externship experience. It is the position of the American Academy of Audiology that the academic preparation of audiologists is best provided by a four-year program, of which the fourth year is a 6-month externship experience.The concept of including extensive clinical and academic training within the degree program is a hallmark of professional doctorates including the AuD. In the masters model, upon completion of an MA/MS degree program, individuals were required to complete a subsequent fellowship year before becoming eligible for Audiology licensure. The AuD model qualifies graduates for the licensure after completion of all degree requirements, including the externship experience.

Job Responsibilities

Assist with Epoc documentation and filing of chartsProvide support for clinical trials and researchShadow audiologist and assist in patient testing and assessment

Minimum Qualifications

To qualify you must have a Doctoral student in a Doctor of Audiology (AuD) program. Ability to meet deadlines. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form..

Required Licenses: NYS Audiologist License

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $15.00 - $44.16 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
