Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Dietary Aide - Part Time.

In this role, the successful candidate Performs a variety of duties including preparation and/or service of food on the patient trayline, work in the dishroom or potroom, and serving as the porter or kitchen cleaner.

Job Responsibilities

Performs other duties as assignedProperly sets up work stations for the efficiency of meal service. Able to read patient menus on tray line. Able to serve at steam table using correct portion control utensils.Follows work assignments correctly. Practices safe handling of cleaning chemicals. Follows proper safety procedures of food preparation. Understands the difference in diets offered.Cleans up work stations in dishroom and trayline. Follows proper proper sanitation and infection control procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

To qualify you must have a High School or GED. Strong communication (both oral and written), and customer service skills. Ability to read well and write legibly. Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.

Preferred Qualifications

1- 2 years In Food Service.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $21.58 - $23.77 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
