Mainframe Systems Programmer/Engineer - The Mainframe Engineer serves as a hands-on technical resource responsible for the daily operations. In this role you will be responsible for providing support, design, installation, configuration, maintenance and testing of IBM-based mainframe hardware, operating systems, systems application software, storage, and systems utilities. You will implement changes, resolve incidents, and satisfy service requests for mainframe systems and services. Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and peer mentor to others on the team. Qualifications· A minimum of ten years of experience in IBM mainframe hardware and software systems.· Expertise with core IBM mainframe technologies including but not limited to z/OS, CICS. Storage, DB2, SDSF, JES2, VTAM, ISPF, JCL, VSAM utilities, assembler, RACF, SQL, CLIST, REXX, COBOL, MQ, SMPE, SMTP, Db2 utilities, mainframe monitors, JCL checker, Unix/Linux.· A minimum of ten years of experience in batch and real-time mainframe processing methodologies.· Expertise in a multiple system services-oriented environment with emphasis on z/OS. AIX, DB2 and Linux.· Expertise with core inter-networking concepts to include TCP/IP, VTAM, routing, firewalls, DNS, SSL, HTTP/HTTPS and encryption technologies.· Expertise with middleware and data applications such as z/OS Connect, CICS, DB2, MQ or other associated technologies.· Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or other related field or commensurate experience.· Preferred Skills and Experience· Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and knowledge of DevSecOps best practices.· Expertise with Application development tools such as IBM's IDZ, Debug Tool, Fault Analyzer, Performance Analyzer and File Manager.
