Your OpportunityOhana Design & Build is looking for a full-time, detail-oriented, and skilled Accountant to join our Construction and Design Team in Park City. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles in the construction industry, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously. In this role, you will be entrusted with managing multiple critical path tasks at any given time, empowered to work independently and effectively within our highly entrepreneurial firm. A knack for great communication - both written and verbal - is a must; this role interfaces with employees, partners, and third parties in various locations and remotely. You should also be fluent in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other relevant computer applications.A solid candidate holds a degree in accounting, or a related field. Two-plus years of accounting experience, preferably with experience in Construction/Real Estate Development/Interior Design, is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

In the role of Accountant, specifically you will:· Work with project management staff ensuring proper compliance with accounting procedures including reviewing and analyzing job cost estimates and reports monthly.· Develop, implement, and monitor project management control systems that will provide for the tracking and controlling of budget and schedule variance.· Review monthly pay requests for accuracy and participate in the pay application review meetings, as necessary.· Provide support to Ohana Design & Build in all aspects of the monthly draw process.· Maintain and organize project files and invoices in an online filing system.· Participate in the establishment and maintenance of cost accounting systems.· Post and process journal entries to ensure all transactions are recorded in QuickBooks and Studio Designer.· Manage project budgets, costs, and financial forecasts for construction and interior design projects.· Prepare and review financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.· Monitor project expenses, track invoices, and ensure timely payments to vendors and subcontractors.· Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to analyze project financial performance and identify areas for improvement.· Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices.· Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and financial reporting.· Assist with other accounting projects.· Work with tax, insurance and accounting consultants as needed to prepare relevant accounting information for audit and tax preparation. Qualifications· At least 2 years of relevant experience, preferably with a Construction/Real Estate Development/Interior Design background.· Superior analytical, quantitative, and technical skills.· High integrity with strong work ethic and attention to detail.· Bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting, or a related field.· Proficient in QuickBooks, NetSuite, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Experience using Studio Designer and Builder Trend a plus.· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
