📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
The mission of the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS) is to provide statewide leadership of a high-quality mental health and addiction prevention, treatment and recovery system that is effective and valued by all Ohioans.
What We Do
OhioMHAS operates regional psychiatric hospitals in six locations across the state that operate 365/24/7. Our specialized facilities provide short-term, intensive treatment to patients in both inpatient and community-supported environments. We also deliver comprehensive care to patients committed through the criminal justice system.

Salary Information
$1,000.00 New Hire Sign on Bonus, $500.00 paid at 120 days, $500.00 paid at 365 days. No contract or length of terms
$24.39 per hour with the first increase in 180 days to $25.45 per hourAdditional $.60 per hour shift differential for afternoon and evening shifts Annual increases each year with an additional longevity supplement after 5 years of service
Day and evening shifts available, weekend rotation. 1st Shift 6:30am - 3:00 pm; 2nd Shift 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm
These positions receive a minimum of 17 weekends off per year per the OCSEA union contract.

What You Will Do
Provide medication, education, and empowerment to individualsObserve, evaluate, and record patient behavior, condition, and response to medicationMonitor patient health including vital signs, treatment plan progress, and activity participationServe in a fundamental role as a multi-disciplinary team member that creates a safe and positive environment through safety and observation rounds and group facilitation

License to practice nursing as a licensed practical nurse issued by Ohio Board of Nursing pursuant to Section 4723 Ohio Revised Code & proof of completion of an approved course in medication administration.
