Successful candidates will have a comprehensive understanding of the functions of AP/AR, income statements, budgeting, and ERPs, including the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Duties and Responsibilities: Manage working capital through oversight of accounts payable and accounts receivable functions for savings, risk mitigation, and reconcile variances in cash applications
Work with management to schedule and prioritize projects on a macro levelAssist in year-end audit requestsSecure financial information and execute accurate reporting as per established accounting standardsVerify and post details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, and total accounts to ledgersProcess journal entries and reconcile bank statements in comparison to the general ledgerReview and balance internal accounts, analyze variances, prepare appropriate reports, and monitor depreciable assets and loansPrepare and interpret financial summaries and provide reports to management on a daily/weekly/monthly basisParticipate in month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliation of accounts, and other accounting duties in a timely mannerAssist in project financial management in our ERP (Jonas Construction) for specific contracts: booking, committed costs, revenue recognition, cash flow and timely close out of projectsEffectively communicate with Project Managers during project administration, monitor PFR for proper cost application, project close out, etc. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance2+ yearsβ experience in audit or construction industry preferredProficient in Microsoft applications w/ strong Excel skillsDemonstrated practical experience with ERP/accounting software preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skills andStrong organizational skills and an attention to detailAbility to work well with diverse group of peersSelf-motivated to work independently and balance workload assignments within time constraintsCommunicates in positive and respectful mannerAbility to apply analytical and interpretive skills to problem solving
