📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Our client is a Houston-based, privately held consulting, back-office outsourcing, and IT outsourcing firm that delivers services exclusively to the upstream and midstream oil and gas industry. They are known as one of the oil and gas industry’s leading partners and support clients of all sizes through every stage of their company’s lifecycle. They are currently seeking an Automation & Integration Analyst to join the Corporate Automation Team. As an Automation team member, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing cross-functional solutions for the internal outsourcing teams.
Position Overview:The person in this role is expected to be a self-starter with an automation and/or integration background, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. Strong time management, written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization, are essential along with the ability to work as part of a growing team.
Responsibilities:Collaboration with automation team members to understand approved automation solutions, technical architecture requirements and implementation methodologies.Collaboration with outsourcing functional SMEs to understand business process optimization opportunities, technical requirements, and business case for change.Evaluation of existing systems and technologies to identify integration and master data management opportunities and recommend improvements.Development of technical designs of automation and integration solutions to improve operational efficiency, reduce manual tasks, enhance data flow, and maintain data quality across systems.Configuration, development, and maintenance of integration workflows and RPA solutions.Completion of unit testing prior to including functional stakeholders in testing.Supporting functional stakeholder testing to ensure the solution meets business requirements and works as designed.Offer technical expertise in areas such as ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), API design, RPA configuration, data synchronization, and workflow automation.Creation of comprehensive documentation including architecture diagrams, configuration, and development guides.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).Proven experience with Automation and Integration solutions.Experience building RPA solutions utilizing Power Automate or similar solutions.Experience with ETL tools and data transformation processes utilizing API’s, SSIS, Bricks, Informatica, etc.Strong programming and scripting skills, with proficiency in languages such as SQL, Python, Java, JavaScript, etc.Experience with integration technologies and protocols, including REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, OAuth, etc.Experience with Azure Cloud and Azure integration services.Demonstrates analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Eager to learn and adapt to new technologies and programming languages.Certifications in automation, integration, or related areas desired but not required.
