We are a well-established, but rapidly growing, entrepreneurial company in the financial services industry serving independent registered advisors and 401(k) plans. Due to our growth, we are seeking a Director of Accounting to direct and execute all the accounting and financial reporting functions within the organization. Position may work full-time in-office or be a hybrid of in-office and at-home work.
Director of Accounting Responsibilities:- Manage, oversee and execute all general accounting functions, including A/P, A/R and Payroll- Partner directly with the CFO and work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and execute on critical process improvements- Leveraging NetSuite software to prepare internal financial statements- Collaborate with business divisions and Director of Financial Planning to analyze and create accurate forecasts and explain variances- Liaison with outsourced vendors, servicers, and CPAs- Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support- Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures
Director of Accounting Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in general accounting role- CPA preferred, but not required
