📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Our client, a global technology company renowned for its innovative hardware, software, and services, is hiring a UX Writer to join their San Francisco team.
This is a 1+ year contract starting ASAP.Location: Remote, PST hours
As a UX Writer, you will be an integral part of their team, crafting user-centric content that educates, guides, and empowers users to navigate our platform securely and confidently.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, engineers, and legal experts to create intuitive and informative content that aligns with our company's commitment to protecting user privacy and enhancing security measures.
Responsibilities:Develop clear and concise content for user interfaces, including microcopy, error messages, tooltips, and notifications, ensuring alignment with privacy policies, security best practices, and browser requirements.Collaborate with design and product teams to understand user needs and advocate for user-centered language and design solutions.Conduct content audits and analyze user feedback to identify opportunities for improvement in UX writing related to privacy, security, and browser requirements.Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure that all content meets regulatory requirements and communicates legal concepts accurately and effectively.Participate in usability testing and iterate on content based on user feedback and testing results.Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to privacy, security, and browser requirements, and incorporate this knowledge into content development.
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, HCI, or a related field.Proven experience as a UX Writer, Content Designer, or similar role, preferably in a technology or software development environment.Strong understanding of UX design principles and methodologies, with the ability to advocate for user-centered content solutions.Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to distill complex concepts into clear and concise language.Familiarity with privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and security best practices, with the ability to translate legal and technical language into user-friendly content.Experience working with cross-functional teams in an agile development environment.Proficiency in using content management systems and collaboration tools.Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences.
