Senior Manager – Merchandising ITOptomi, in partnership with a leader within the retail industry is seeking a Senior Manager – Merchandising IT for a 100% remote opportunity! This individual will be responsible for identifying, deploying, and supporting best-in-class Merchandising and Supply Chain Planning products. The ideal candidate should have strong IT leadership and domain expertise with a proven track record of successfully delivering large, cross-functional solutions. In addition, this leader should embrace new technologies and thrive in a fast pace environment.

Responsibilities of the right candidate:Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related field.Minimum 7 years of IT experience in 2 or more of the following: project/program management, product management, software engineering, and business analysis; retail experience a plus.Product/Domain expertise in Merchandise Planning (Assortment Planning, Pricing and Promotions Planning, Demand Planning) and Supply Chain Planning (Replenishment Planning, Allocation Planning, and Inventory Planning)Experience implementing COTS solutions including O9, Relex, Blue Yonder/JDA; Consulting experience a plus.Knowledge of ERP platforms.Solid problem solving and ability to analyze issues, diagnose root causes, and drive resolution.Excellent communication skills; effectively interacts with all levels within the organization.Strong innovative and strategic thinking skills.Proven ability in managing complex programs and delivering quality platforms on-schedule and on-budget.
Experience of the right candidate:Partner closely with business teams to fully understand business strategy and recommend modern technology products for Merchandise and Supply Chain Planning including Assortment Planning, Pricing and Promotions, Demand Planning, Allocation and Replenishment Planning.Develop and manage strategic roadmaps, demonstrating deep expertise at the product level, building partnerships with relevant stakeholder teams, understanding pain points/gaps, and making trade-off decisions where needed.Capture robust business requirements and maintain prioritized backlogs based on defined business value and aligning with technology strategy and resource capacity.Develop go-to-market plans, reviewing and resolving blockers in partnership with team members that may delay the launch or impede the success of projects.Lead cross-functional teams in the successful delivery of projects that are on time and budget.Partner with key business stakeholders to develop end-to-end user acceptance criteria to ensure delivery of quality products.Maintain in-depth knowledge of product and industry trend to recommend appropriate process, capability, or technology improvements.Manage strategic vendor partners and influence future roadmaps to align with clients business strategy and capability needs.
