📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Site Reliability Engineer*6-month rolling contract until conversion*Hybrid: 1-2x a month in Baltimore, MD
Optomi, in partnership with one of our premier clients in the financial services industry, is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join their team! The Site Reliability Engineer will be responsible to diagnose production incidents, improve time to resolve and prevent incidents. This role will require cross-functional coordination and will focus on the entire end-to-end customer experience to reduce/prevent negative customer impacts, save revenue, reduce cost and improve customer satisfaction. Participate in complex projects and design new implementations as required to support new business initiatives. Ensure every step of a new transaction has proper logging to provide accurate reporting.
Responsibilities:Detection, Logging, and Alerting: Manage the detection, logging, and alerting systems to ensure timely identification and response to operational issues and anomalies.Collaboration: Work closely with infrastructure teams, business unit teams, and developer teams to understand their monitoring needs and requirements.Project Support: Provide support for new projects by collaborating with teams to set up logging and monitoring solutions tailored to their specific requirements.Ticket Management: Respond to and prioritize tickets related to visibility issues, ensuring that necessary actions are taken to address gaps in monitoring coverage.Prioritization: Evaluate and prioritize monitoring projects and initiatives, to ensure optimal allocation of resources and alignment with organizational goals.Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to enhance monitoring capabilities and streamline processes, driving improvements to stay ahead of operational challenges.Transformation: Work with stakeholders to transform ideas and requirements into actionable monitoring solutions that address operational needs effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:6+ Years of experience of Technology experienceShould have 3+ years of experience with GrafanaElk StackAPM monitoring tools: Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Datadog (AppD preferred)PythonCloudWatchTerraformAnsiblePagerduty
