📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Department Overview
Under direct supervision, primarily performs basic research or lab activities similar to a Research Assistant 1 or Lab Aide*.
Function/Duties of Position
Write computer programs in PythonUse software for numerical optimization of high-dimensional functionsAssign biophysical models based on likelihood optimization for experimental data
Required Qualifications
Enrolled in or on vacation from or is otherwise registered in Undergraduate Program (minimum 6 credit hours).Experience with numerical methods and optimization.Ability to perform the job duties with or without accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
Undergraduates who are pursuing science majors preferred but not required.Basic laboratory skills.Experience with Bayesian inference and machine learning preferred but not required.
