Welding Supervisor

Position Details:Title: Production Shift Manager Location: Conroe, TX (40 miles north of downtown Houston)Schedule: Opportunities on:2nd shift (3:30p – midnight Mon-Fri)Weekend shift (7a – 7p Fri-Sun) *this is a 36 hr workweek sked, but you are paid for 40 hrsCompensation: Target base salary ~$100K - $120KBonuses/Additional Compensation: Performance review at 6 months to determine raise potential; relocation assistance (up to ~$10K) available on a case-by-case basis. Position Description: The Production Shift Manager is responsible for shift operations in a high-pace and LEAN manufacturing environment with laser cutting, machining, bending, fabrication, welding, assembly and powder coating operations. In this role you will have multiple Production Supervisors and/or Shift Managers reporting to you, as you plan and manage the daily activities of a team of Machine Operators, Assemblers, Warehouse Operators and Maintenance Technicians for an assigned shift. Some specific responsibilities include:

a culture of Safety and accountability around all Teams as well as individual work assignments.to all quality standards within the department.production output support the production schedule.production output meets all applicable quality requirements.human resource tasks such as recruiting, performance management, training and development, recognition, time management and corrective action.manufacturing area supplies and equipment; initiate purchasing requests as needed.LEAN principles by identifying and perusing opportunities for improvement.the concepts of 5S by maintaining clean & organized work areas with emphasis on safety, quality, efficiency & utilization.assigned staff are qualified and appropriately trained for assigned work.
