📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Orlando Health is seeking a driven Director to develop and submit the strategic operating plans for the Center for Nursing Research, that is consistent with the overall mission and goals of Orlando Health, to the Vice President of Nursing and Patient Care Services. The Director will also provide administrative oversight of the Orlando Health clinical nursing research program and ensure that operations comply to Federal and Orlando Health Institutional Review Board standards.
Responsibilities include:Develops and submits to the Vice President of Nursing and Patient Care Services strategic operating plans for Nursing Research consistent with the overall mission and goals of Orlando Health.Provides administrative oversight of the Orlando Health clinical nursing research program and ensures that operations conform to Federal and Orlando Health Institutional Review Board standards.Directs research-based care and mentors nurses to develop a research program within their assigned specialty and patient population, including, but not limited to research utilization, implementation of evidence-based practice and guidelines, Joint Commission Core Measures, and other quality forum measures.
Requirements:Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate level in nursing or related specialty such as education, healthcare administration or business. Current license in the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse.Five (5) years of closely related experience to include three years of management and leadership experience.Experience or training in conducting clinical research in nursing.
