Job Title: Marketing and Special Events Intern - Chamber of CommerceOrganization Name: Oshkosh Chamber of CommerceNumber of Openings: OneWork Schedule: Office Duties: Flexible; Waterfest: Select Thursdays and one Wednesday - June 13 through August 21st (9 Week Series)Hours per Week: 15-20Wage/Salary: $15 - $16 per hourEmployment Start Date: TBDEmployment End Date: August 23Job Description: Are you passionate about marketing, event coordination, and community engagement? Looking for a hands-on experience in a dynamic environment? The Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to join our team for a summer internship.
Primary Responsibilities:Marketing and Special Events:• Collaborate on the overall communication and promotion of all Chamber-related events, programs, services, and membership development activities.• Assist with planning and execution of events such as the Golf Outing (August event), AM Oshkosh, Business After Hours, Chamber seminars, and more.• Create engaging content for social media platforms and assist in managing social media accounts.• Assist in designing promotional materials and digital graphics.• Assist in reaching out to new members to set up ribbon cuttings, etc..
Waterfest Support:• Assist with ticket and gate management during the Waterfest concert series.• Supervise food and beverage stands to ensure smooth operations.• Aid in pre-concert setup and post-concert tear-down.• Perform general grounds duties for event preparation and cleanup.
Qualifications:• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.• Willingness to work occasional evenings.• Interest in marketing, event management, hospitality, or related fields preferred.• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.• Knowledge of social media platforms and experience with social media management tools.• Basic graphic design skills (Familiarity with programs such as Canva)
