📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
This team is seeking a Project Manager to assist in defining an incubation project and should have significant experience in defining and working on networking projects. The PM will be responsible for driving programs/projects from project initiation through delivery, interfacing with clients on technical and business issues, creating and/or reviewing multiple functional specifications that will be used as tools in making decisions as to how the product or service will be implemented, providing Product Managers & Product Unit Managers with technical and/or analytical information, organizing cross-functional activities ensuring the project is completed on schedule and within budget constraints, and providing schedules and status reports.
Responsibilities:Documenting requirements and writing product specifications for a new technology incubation project related to quantum networking. Coordinating with a third-party partner to build the new technology. Spending some time in the lab, setting up, checking, and monitoring equipment.Working with researchers to understand their vision and what they are trying to build. Using Azure Quantum and Azure Quantum Elements
Requirements: Degree in technical field (mechanical engineering, software engineering, physics, optics, or quantum physics)High level of communication skills10 years' experience Strong networking skills, especially in large-scale or physical networking.10 years' experience with telecom networking or similar domains10 years' experience Lab experience and ability to work with physical hardware and equipment.
Type: Contract Work Schedule: Hybrid (3 days onsite required) Duration: 2+ months, with high chance of extension Hourly Rate Range: $95-110/h (DOE)
