Company DescriptionOverhead Intelligence is a geospatial mapping company that designs and deploys open source UAS platforms for large scale surveying and mineral exploration. OI is at the forefront of technological innovation in mineral exploration. Our focus is to increase the capabilities of UAV-mounted aerial mapping systems and expand access to affordable high-resolution datasets. We aim to consistently collect the cheapest and highest fidelity airborne data at a continental scale.

Role DescriptionThis is an as-needed, contract role for UAV Pilots at Overhead Intelligence, Inc based in Lake Wales, FL, with a majority of your time in the field. As a UAV Pilot, you will be responsible for operating unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to conduct aerial mapping missions. Your day-to-day tasks will include planning flight missions, conducting pre-flight inspections, flying UAVs to capture aerial data, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the UAVs. This role is a part-time contractor roles that will allow for possible opportunities for travel throughout the United States and Canada.

QualificationsHold a valid FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot CertificateDemonstrated experience in operating unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).Proficient in flight planning software and GPS navigation systemsStrong understanding of aviation regulations and safety protocolsExcellent problem-solving and decision-making skillsEffective communication and teamwork abilitiesStrong attention to detail and ability to follow instructionsAbility to adapt to changing environmental conditions and work under pressureExperience with photogrammetry and image processing software is a plus
