Operations Manager

Consider yourself mechanically inclined or “handy”? Overlooked Materials is looking to hire an Operations Manager to bring glass recycling back to Chattanooga. About Overlooked Materials:Glass recycling has been largely absent from the Chattanooga area since 2017. We’re bringing bring it back, at a scale that moves the needle, and in a way that engages the community. Overlooked Materials is a vertically integrated glass collection and processing company. We turn glass waste into versatile landscaping and industrial products which go right back into Chattanooga area projects and businesses. As our Operations Manager, you will:· Oversee our entire operations, including collection of glass and operating our processing line. Early on, you’ll be behind the wheel of our collections vehicle and run our processing equipment. As we scale, you’ll help bring team members to enable our growth.· Support the setup of our processing line, material flow, and inventory management.· Advise on and trial additional processing technologies to allow Overlooked Materials to expand our product offering. Other Requirements:· Clean driving record; note that a CDL is not required or needed.· 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or operations setting.· Available core M-F daytime hours; we can provide some schedule flexibility.· Ability to commute to our site in Ridgedale (near Highland Park). Nice to Haves:· Forklift /skid steer experience· Maintenance & repair experience· Leadership experience· Relevant associates degree or vocational training (e.g., Industrial Technology, Construction Management, Engineering Technology); can be substituted with relevant work experience Salary & Benefits:· $40k-45k starting salary, annual 10% bonus, and opportunities for advancement as we grow· Health insurance stipend· Paid time off & paid holidays· Free glass recycling :)
