The Role

We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Civil Technician to join our team. Civil Technicians help support civil engineering projects by assisting with the design, construction inspection, and maintenance. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven to accomplish department goals. This is an opportunity for a long-term position and to join a growing company.

Openings are available anywhere in the continental US. You will spend your first week in Youngstown, Ohio and will be traveling 85% of the time.

Responsibilities

Setting forms that hold concrete in placeCleaning and inspecting surfaces for pouring issuesPouring, smoothing, and leveling concrete using a trowel and float. Ability to safely maneuver equipment trailers Restoration of areas where work has been performed (leveling, seed and straw)Maintain a clean and safe jobsitePerform other duties as assigned

Requirements And Skills

Must be willing to travel nationwide up to 85% of the time. Possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record 3 years’ experience as a concrete finisherAbility to safely operate equipment (Mine excavators, Telehandlers, Skid Steers)Possess basic computer skills including word, excel & emailExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong team player with the ability to adapt to diverse team membersExceptional time management, accountability, and prioritization skillsSelf-motivated, goal- oriented, and driven to accomplish department goalsAble to support a fast paced, demanding work schedule; including occasional late evenings and/or weekends when requestedAbility to work in a variety of physical positions, like sitting, squatting, standing, walking, and drivingEndurance of regular exposure to all weather conditions including heat, cold, humidity, and rain during all seasons throughout the yearAbility to be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels on sites of projects being managed or coordinatedUtilize protective safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and high visible vest when working on-site
