Senior Tax Accountant
📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
We are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant. This person will be responsible for tax compliance for C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnership, and individuals.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESPrepare complex federal and state income tax returns, including supporting work papers for various types of returns such as individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and other entity typesExtensions and quarterly estimates for individuals and entitiesPerform technical research and stay up to date with US and international tax lawsRespond to IRS and state taxing authority inquiriesFinancial planning, analysis, and other special projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:Required:2-6 years of experience in public accountingExperience with federal and state tax returns for small corporations, partnerships and individualsExperience with small business financial statement preparation and analysisBachelor's degree in Accounting, finance, or related fieldCreative problem solving and research skillsExcellent organization and project management skills
Preferred:Previous CPA firm experienceCPA license obtained or in progressAdvanced degree such as Masters of Tax is a plus but not requiredProficient with Microsoft OfficeAdvanced knowledge of QuickBooks
