π Role Overview & Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions
Responsible for back-office functions with focus on natural gas commodity settlement. Analyzing and reconciling PSE and counterparty natural gas commodity transactions details to identify, articulate and resolve discrepancies and ensure proper amounts are classified.Responsible for reviewing utility and pipeline statements to validate imbalances of flowed volumes.Assist on-boarding process of new counterparty accounts.Responsible for processing counterparty payments through PEGA payment system.Reconciling and generating natural settlement invoices through in-house database system.Responsible for clearing prior period adjustment and open balances with counterparty.Assist with the end of month process of Sales Orders (SO) and Purchase Orders (PO) into SAP accounting system.Following up with counterparties with overdue balances.Perform cash receipts application into in-house database system and reconciling against reports.Support with back-office functions with focus on power/electric commodity settlement.Support with FERC EQR quarterly filings regarding power/electric transactions.Assist with communication of settlement department policies, guidelines, training, etc. to PSE personnel.Ability to work well with others, internally and externally.Acts as a team member with all employees of PSE and Sumitomo staff.Complies with all PSE policies and procedures.
Essential Physical Abilities
Ability to meet highest attendance requirements.Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy.Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Qualification/Education/Experience Required
Bachelorβs degree in Finance, Business or related field.Enjoy high pressure environment while being able to multi-task and prioritize various deadlines.Excellent knowledge of Excel (V-lookup, pivot tables, etc.) and other MS Office suite products.Strict attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.0-3 years full-time working experience.
Preferred/Optional
SAP accounting system software knowledge is a plus.Settlement experience and/or energy industry experience.
