The Macon plant has approximately 218 employees. Macon was awarded World-Class Safety in 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017. Macon also received the Operational Performance Plant of the year in 2015 and 2016 and Food Plant of the Year in 2016. The Macon plant has recently reached out to the Middle Georgia Community Food Bank and will be collecting canned and dried goods for the less fortunate. Job purposeThe Maintenance Supervisor role is responsible for providing leadership for the maintenance department groups in performing work safely to achieve the plant objectives in safety, quality, OEE, PEPS and budget. Duties and responsibilities The primary job duties and responsibilities are: · Monitors and supports safe work practices in the department.· Ensures the team is completing the planned work task as scheduled on all equipment.· Participates in problem solving activities as required to achieve plant performance.· Leads the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) as outlined for downtime events.· Tracks and manages follow up work orders to achieve a timely resolution to repairs.· Manages the time keeping records for all areas of responsibility.· Participates in Tier 0,1 and 2 meetings.· Maintains excellent housekeeping standards to maintain a safe work area.· Maintains effective communication with operators and plant supervision.· Immediately addresses and reports safety issues or hazards.· Maintains excellent safety record.· Maintains excellent attendance record.· Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience required:· Demonstrated industrial maintenance experience.· At least ten (10) years of experience in a manufacturing environment; including successful completion of jobs or similar activities.· At least five (5) years of leadership experience in the maintenance field.· Demonstrated self-compliance with company policies and procedures.· Experience with 6S, A3 and other continuous improvement tools.· Experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS); Maintenance Connection and SAP experience preferred. Physical requirements This position is located in a manufacturing location. Physical requirements will include but are not limited to:· Standing for lengthy periods of time (frequent)· Sitting for extended periods of time (frequent)· Climbing up/down stairs/ladders/platforms (occasional)· Working in a manufacturing environment that includes periods of hot and cold weather, dust, noise above 85 dBA, occasional odors, and moving equipment (frequent) Working conditionsAn individual that works in the Maintenance Supervisor position:· Must have a basic knowledge of hand and power tools.· Must have personal tools up to one (1) inch.· Must be able to stand and/kneel frequently, lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, and work in a manufacturing environment.· Must be available on an on-call basis. EducationHigh School Diploma or GEDTechnical certification/Associates/BA in a related field preferred
