📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Downtown Houston Law Firm specializing in full-service legal support to business clients is seeking Associate Attorney for the Firm's COMMERCIAL LITIGATION Practice. Primary Duties: You will work with a team of experienced commercial litigation attorneys, but you will be personally responsible for helping manage cases assigned to you, conducting discovery, taking depositions, attending court hearings, drafting and arguing motions, and trying cases as first or second chair. In addition, you will often communicate directly with our clients’ decision makers. The right person will be diligent and proactive; have a desire to perform excellent work; be a strong communicator to both clients and other PDH attorneys; and will be an effective advocate for all clients. Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in commercial litigation; licensed to practice in Texas; knowledge of business and real estate a plus. Compensation: $120,000 - $150,000, depending on experience. Additional benefits include: 100% payment of employee health insurance premium, optional dental insurance (premium paid by employee), PTO, parking, CLE and State Bar dues reimbursement, matching IRA benefits (after 2nd year), and performance based bonus. You will also be given the opportunity to develop your own client base, as well as support for those efforts, and commensurate compensation based on your clients’ payments of legal fees. Job Type: Full-time, in the Firm’s downtown Houston office.
