Graphic Designer

SUMMARY: Collaborate with the Marketing team and various departments to produce creative and engaging graphics for a variety of mediums (e.g. web, email, social media, video and print); ensure that branding standards are met to support communication goals of Palm Beach Atlantic University.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for generating creative design proposals (concepts, visions) to visualize the desired output and share with team membersExplore new ways of thinking and fresh approaches to design to communicate the story of PBA in a visually compelling wayCreate engaging promotional materials for departments across campus for both print and digital mediumsKnow the PBA visual brand and serve as a subject matter expert on all branding elementsProblem solve design projects with the ability to quickly provide quality design executionsDevelop email and social media campaign material in collaboration with the marketing teamProvide design support for the Creative Services team through video and event graphicsSupport Sr. Web Strategist with content, layout and design edits for PBA.EDUProvide project management support for web updatesWork closely with marketing communications staff to ensure campaign alignment across digital channels Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Requires strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to multi-task as well as have a professional disposition. Understands and commits to achieving the University's mission. Proven ability to respond quickly and sensitively, discerning how to best meet individual’s needs, and contact the appropriate person for assistance. Detail oriented, organized, and able to solve problems independently. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, shift priorities, multi-task when competing needs surface, and meet deadlines. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Adobe Cloud. Strong aptitude to learn new technologies.

Qualifications

Education Required: Bachelors degree (B.S or B.A) required. Field of study in graphic design, business, or related field preferred.

Experience Required: Possess 2 years professional experience in a fast-paced office environment with demonstrated customer service.
