Position Summary
The emergency department clinical pharmacist will be a unit-based pharmacist that will verify the orders and provide clinical services for the area(s) for which they are assigned. They will be a drug information resource for the nurses, physicians, patients, and families. The clinical pharmacist will be expected to fulfill staff pharmacist responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree required.
Experience: PGY-1 required. PGY-2 in critical care or emergency medicine preferred or equivalent experience with CC/EM board certification.
License: Current registered pharmacist license in the State of Florida
Certification: Pharmacy license; BLS within 30 days of hire (ACLS and/or PALS if code attendance required); Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy (BCPS) or other specialty corresponding with practice area.
PGY- required. PGY-2 in critical care or emergency medicine preferred or equivalent experience with CC/EM board certification
