We're seeking highly motivated and innovative senior engineers to build the next industry disruptive state-of-the-art products that do not exist today. These self driven engineers love to code with dedication in order to build global products and bring new security ideas to solve real world problems. We are looking for leaders who take ownership of their projects and relentlessly pursue details at every level. Collaboration is at the heart of our culture and we need engineers who are effective communicators and work well with multi-functional teams towards achieving a complex idea. As a key member of Layer 7 Security group, you will be responsible for:Design and develop advanced security features on the next-generation firewallsBuilding highly scalable real time end to end cloud security solutionsDesign and implement effective and serviceable modules across PanOS.Utilize your programming skills to produce efficient, robust and secure implementationInteract with support teams throughout the entire software development cycleWe expect office-based employees to be in the office four days per week, with one day working from where they choose. We believe being together facilitates casual conversations and those magic moments where we can work on issues and ideas informally. These moments build capability and deepen trusted relationships and allow our people to feel safe in taking risks and being disruptive. Like so many companies, we are working through the details and things could change …. but in general if a role is deemed office-based we want our teams to be together four days per week.

Your ImpactInnovate, design, and develop new security features in our next-generation firewall productContribute in all phases of the product development cycle, from definition, design, through implementation and verificationUtilize robust development methodologies to address new product features, with a high focus on quality and executionDevelop functional specifications, assess task requirements and scheduling, and assist in development, testing and sustaining.Effective communication of goals and desired outcomes to internal project teamsLeadership in mentorship and coaching for new team membersSuggest and implement improvements to the development processYour Impact

Qualifications

Your ExperienceB.S. or higher degree in Computer Science, similar technical discipline with 10+ years of professional software development experience or equivalent practical experience requiredHighly Proficient in the C programming language and familiarity with Unix/Linux software development environmentHands-on experience with networking protocols and network security technologiesExpertise of multi-core / multi-process / multi-threaded programmingHighly skilled in building scalable, distributed, and stateful communication protocols.Strong understanding of TCP/IP internals and common data structure and algorithmsSolid communication skills and bring a can-do attitude to a dynamic working environmentExperience with large-scale and high-performance software design and development is preferredExperience with cloud orchestration and containerized deployment is preferredExperience with golang programming and python software development is preferredExperience with TLS internals, cryptography, and OpenSSL is preferred

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be between $170,000/yr to $250,000/yr.
