Smooth Media is looking for a newsletter editor to join our team. Our mission at Smooth is to help creators operate and scale their businesses, and a key pillar of that is ideating, launching and publishing newsletters.
In this position, you’ll be responsible for leading the newsletters we operate.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Collaborate with writers to review pitches and edit their work with a specific eye for clarity, accuracy, and voiceProvide thoughtful analysis to guide the newsletter’s editorial strategy and brainstorm creative initiatives to keep the publication and team nimbleOwn the niche of your newsletter—we operate newsletters in several different content areas and understanding the space you cover is keyAttend regular meetings with the newsletter’s broader team and manage the newsletter’s day to day operations
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
Professional writing experience, newsletter experience preferredEditorial leadership and willingness to own projectsSignificant attention to detailBased in NYC
