Overview and Responsibilities

Paramount Streaming (formerly CBS Interactive) is a division of Paramount that encompasses both free, paid, and premium streaming services including Pluto TV, Paramount+, CBS Sports Digital, and CBS News Digital.

Data plays a central role at Paramount, and as part of the Data & Insights Group (DIG), our Business Intelligence team is a crucial part of our success. It drives business, content, product, and operational decisions by providing rich data, strategic insights and analytical products. We are looking for an exemplary Business Intelligence Analyst to support the Paramount+ FP&A team. This person is a great teammate who is passionate about data and entertainment, who thrives in a dynamic & fast-paced environment. The position is anchored around our growing SVOD service Paramount+, which includes a wealth of established library content across CBS, MTV Entertainment Group, Nickelodeon, BET and more, together with its growing Originals’ slate, such as 1883, 1923, Tulsa King, Lioness, iCarly, Star Trek: Picard; RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars, PAW Patrol: The Movie; Queenpins, The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge On The Run, Why Women Kill and many more.

This Business Intelligence Analyst role will support the FP&A team and will be responsible for developing and generating reports, insights & analysis on content discovery and performance. The analyst will identify business, marketing and content programming opportunities, challenges, and trends and be able to communicate findings effectively to a variety of partners in the content and programming vertical. This role will be focused on data analysis work related to Paramount+.

Responsibilities Include

Define and deliver content focused key performance indicators and reporting, that will inform programming and content strategyWrite SQL to query a data warehouse (BigQuery) for data in order to answer questions from a variety of partners in the content and product vertical, focused on (but not limited to) content discovery, performance and featuresCollaborate with measurement operations and data teams to ensure appropriate tracking is in place to perform needed reporting and analysisPresent insights and recommendations to the business in a concise, confident and understandable mannerBuild and maintain statistical and spreadsheet models for forecasting, scenario planning, and other predictive workUse reporting/visualization tools such as Tableau, Data Studio to build dashboards that allow non-data savvy users to generate insights and answer questions in a self-service fashionResearch industry trends and communicate how these could potentially impact the businessConduct pertinent reporting and analyses to service product and content strategy needsBuild dashboards (using Tableau and other BI tools) that illustrate how key performance indicators and metrics are changing over timeRefine reports, dashboards, and insights based on the needs of a rapidly changing businessSupport monthly and quarterly reporting initiativesDevelop our standard reporting for product and content key performance indicators and questionsPerform Ad Hoc analysis on specific business problems and summarize findings in an accurate, concise, easy-to-understand manner

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience2+ years experience in digital marketing/entertainment sector

Additional Information

Hiring Salary Range: $64,800.00 - 81,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
