Marketing & Events Associate Internship

We are currently seeking highly motivated individuals to join our team at a leading Petroleum Company based in the Greater Chicago area. As a key member of our internship program, you will be at the forefront of promoting brand loyalty programs and enhancing the brands presence, for retail fueling stations throughout the market we serve. In this role, individuals will develop highly sought after leadership and marketing skills, while working in a fun, active environment. We are looking for organized, enthusiastic, self-motivated, friendly candidates who enjoy working with people.

Areas of ResponsibilitiesWork closely with Sr. Marketing & Events Associate, to coordinate and execute all marketing initiatives and events that strive to develop emotional connections between consumers and the brand. Coordinate and support consumer appreciation and grand opening events to enhance the consumer experience and foster brand loyalty. Promote specific loyalty programs, through on- site marketing campaigns, engaging with site staff and consumers to educate them on the programs, increase awareness and overall enrollment. Promote specific philanthropy efforts, through the Parent Foundation by installing event signage and educating site staff and consumers on benefits of charitable organizations. Maintain records and communicate results via established tracking mechanism, to identify and communicate activity and develop new strategies.to increase program performance. Work closely with individual retail personnel to ensure system technologies are properly functioning and specific visual campaigns elements are installed to promote the marketing campaigns. Utilize best practices associated with consumer engagement to ensure utilization of branded programs are maximized for consumers benefit and increased sales potential.

QualificationsIn progress of College Degree or equivalent with previous retail or hospitality experience preferred. Customer service oriented, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. Strong communication skills, interpersonal and presentation skills. Ability to develop strategies to achieve organizational goals; Adapts strategy to changing conditions. Adaptability with customer behaviors and strong critical thinking skills Preferred computer skills in Microsoft office software, mobile and media applications. Required to physically lift, move, and carry up to 40 pounds. • Ability to provide reliable transportation.

Other: Full Time Teammates will average 35-40 hours/week. Employment will begin in early June and conclude in late August.
