Patrick Industries Housing & Powersports Pillar is hiring energetic and experienced Controllers to add to our growing Team! The Controller is responsible for the oversight and coordination of accounting, financial reporting, financial management, business management and budgeting efforts as it relates to the operation of Patrick Industries’ growing portfolio of Business Units!

Responsibilities And Duties

Working as a strategic partner, this role offers high viability and high growth potential with direct access to Senior Leadership throughout the growing Pillar. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Controller works with Leadership within manufacturing and distribution of our Housing & Powersports Group to strategically support business decisions through financial data.

Other Essential Job Functions Will Include

Guides Business Unit financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and applying policies, procedures and internal controlsMonitors and confirms financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditorsPrepares budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data and recommending plans to Business Unit LeadersAchieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actionsProvides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial dataPrepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trendsMonthly financial reportingMaintain a documented system of accounting policies and proceduresMaintain the chart of accountsIssue timely and complete financial statementsRecommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operationsCalculate and issue financial and operating metricsManage the production of the annual budget and forecastsCalculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to managementProvide for a system of management cost reportsSupport compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filingsAssist with the information utilized in filing of quarterly and annual reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission

Qualifications And Skills

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance Candidates should have 5+ years’ of progressively responsible experience for a major company or division of a large corporation Minimum of 2 years in public accounting is desiredThose who have a CPA are preferred Those with experience in manufacturing are highly desiredExperience to include general understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley ActExcellent written and verbal communication skills in terms of being clear, concise, and professional with the ability to work effectively with a wide array of plant personnel ranging from hourly employees to senior managementSelf-motivated with the ability to prioritize multiple projects under tight deadlines and work independently with little to no oversightStrong accountability and follow-through skillsStrong analytical/critical thinkingA high level of personal integrity (self-esteem, confidence, honesty, and respect) are necessary qualitiesAlign with Patrick Industries “BETTER Together” mentality by pursuing Balance, Excellence, Trust, Teamwork, Empowerment, and Respect within the organization
